The facilities in the Touring and Camping area have been greatly improved with the opening of the new toilet and shower block. The project was completed with the help of a grant from DEFRA’s Rural Enterprise Scheme. The new building boasts excellent amenities with free showers and deep sinks. There is also a separate baby change/disabled room.

Studfold Community Nature Project
Last year the Studfold Community Nature Project was created. They are a group of interested people that have, with the help of a lottery grant, established a flora and fauna study group that meets fortnightly on a Sunday. The project is researching the affects, on the local nature, of the long history of agriculture and industry that is evident on the farm. They are keen to welcome new members on either a regular or irregular basis. Further information can be found on their website: www.communitynature.co.uk
Studfold Caravanners Coffee Morning
The annual coffee morning on August bank holiday Sunday, organized and run by the ‘caravanners’, was once again a great success. A good selection of stalls and attractions coupled with welcome refreshments and the entertaining music of Alan Chandler resulted in an excellent sum of £1160.00 being raised for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Other fund raisers were also successful. The Meningitis Trust and Guide Dogs for the Blind both benefited.
The hard work and generosity of those involved with all these events is much appreciated as is the support from locals, the regular caravanners and those that are paying us a fleeting visit in tents and tourers.
We look forward to the various events this year and encourage as many of you as possible to get involved.

Studfold Farm Trail
We are hoping to open a trail around Studfold & Blayshaw farms to allow people to explore the interesting and varied nature and heritage that this area offers. We aim to provide activities for children that are both informative and exciting!
This idea is only in its very early stages and we will be able to provide more information if/when the project develops. |
